This is the new, second generation Multijet, a common rail, direct injection diesel with new injectors that reduce emissions and make this the most powerful engine in segment A, and so responsive as to provide you with a truly sporty driving experience.
Compared with the 1.3 Multijet 16v 75 HP it offers improved performance in terms of both fuel savings and environmental friendliness: CO2 emissions are lower, 104 g/km instead of 110 g/km, with a reduction in fuel consumption of 8%.
The 1.3 Multijet 16v 95 HP offers as standard both the particulate filter (DPF) to reduce fine dust (positioned in the engine compartment to improve effectiveness), and the efficient Start&Stop system for considerably reducing CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
With the 1.3 Multijet 16v 95 HP engine the 500C adopts a braking system with two crossover independent electrical circuits, with self-ventilating front discs, 257 mm in diameter, and rear drum brakes (180).
